The Bird with the Magic Pen: The Ibis

On the peaceful banks of the Nile River, there lived a very elegant and beautiful bird called the Ibis. This bird has long, thin legs that make it walk gracefully like a ballet dancer, and a long, curved beak that looks just like an old-fashioned pen. The ancient Egyptians loved this amazing bird so much that they made it the symbol of Thoth, the god of wisdom, writing, and intelligence in their myths. They truly believed this wondrous bird was the very first teacher of humans! They thought it was the one who taught them how to write complex hieroglyphic letters, solve tricky math problems, and even count the twinkling stars in the clear night sky.
