The Bakers of Sun Bread

A baker in ancient Egypt was a true artist! Bakers would knead the flour using their clean feet in massive bowls to make huge amounts of dough. They shaped the dough into triangles, circles, and even the shapes of birds! Then, they left the dough out under the hot sun for a while to let it rise and puff up, before putting it into tall, tube-shaped clay ovens filled with hot fire. The smell of fresh bread filled the streets of the pharaonic villages, making everyone feel hungry and happy all at once!
