Monkeys Picking Fruit: The Friendly Monkey

Can you imagine having a little monkey living with you at home? The Pharaohs loved animals so much, and cats and dogs weren't their only pets. They also raised super smart baboon monkeys! The amazing thing is that they actually trained these monkeys to help them with chores. They taught them how to climb up really tall palm trees, expertly pick the sweet dates, and toss them down into baskets! The monkeys also went along on boat trips and played with the kids. People loved them so much they even put pretty collars around their little necks!
