The Icon of Beauty: Queen Nefertiti

The name Nefertiti means "The Beautiful Woman Has Come," and she truly was one of the most beautiful and powerful queens in history! She ruled Egypt right alongside her husband, King Akhenaten, and they had very different and new ideas. They decided to change everything and built a brand-new city right in the middle of the desert, asking everyone to only worship the glowing sun disk. Today, Nefertiti is super famous because of a beautiful bust—a statue of just her head and shoulders. It shows her lovely face wearing a very tall, special blue crown that doesn't look like any other queen's crown. This statue looks so real you almost feel like she is going to talk to you!
