Melodies of the Nile and Joyful Arts
The Giant Harp
Imagine a massive wooden bow, but instead of shooting arrows in battle, it shoots magical, sweet melodies! This is the Pharaonic Harp. It was so huge that the musician had to sit on the floor to skillfully pluck its strings. The strings were pulled tight to make different sounds, and the wood was beautifully carved with lovely lotus flowers. The harp's music was very calming and helped the kings relax after a long day of hard work.
