Decorative Garden Birds: The Hoopoe and Falcon

Rich people and kings in ancient Egypt had massive gardens in their palaces, filled with pretty water pools and trees. To make these gardens even more gorgeous, they kept beautiful, brightly colored pet birds! They loved the Hoopoe bird with its lovely feather crown that opens and closes just like a fan, and tiny quails that zipped around in the grass. They also raised powerful falcons, training them to stand proudly on their arms, making the garden look like a magical paradise full of happy sounds and cheerful colors!
