Mud Sunglasses: The Secret of Kohl

Have you noticed that the Pharaohs in all the drawings have beautiful almond-shaped eyes outlined with thick black lines? That is Kohl! The amazing thing is that Kohl wasn't just for looking pretty; men, women, and kids used it as magical protection. They ground up black and green stones and mixed them with oils to paint around their eyes. This Kohl worked exactly like sunglasses, protecting their eyes from the harsh desert sun, and its smell chased pesky bugs right away from their faces! The Kohl made them look like fierce, strong falcons.
