The Brave Explorer and the Hole in the Door: Howard Carter
On a cold winter day a hundred years ago, a brave archaeologist named Howard Carter stood in front of a stone door in the Valley of the Kings that had been locked tight for thousands of years. His hands were shaking as he made a tiny hole in the door and shined his flashlight inside to see what was there. His friends eagerly asked, "Can you see anything?" He answered with his famous sentence that amazed the world: "Yes... I see wonderful things... I see gold shining everywhere!" That was the exact moment he discovered King Tutankhamun's tomb and his untouched treasures!
