The Secret Guardian in the Dark: The Super Dog - Jackal

Are you afraid of the dark? Long ago, the Pharaohs had a brave guardian to protect them at night! There was a smart, fast animal that looked like a dog called a Jackal, which would always roam quietly around the pyramids and tombs in the desert. Instead of being scared of it, the Egyptians made it a hero in their myths and named it the god Anubis. They carved statues of Anubis and painted them a shiny black, which stood for the rich soil of the Nile and new life. Anubis became the powerful, magical guardian who watched over the resting kings, keeping their secrets and golden treasures totally safe from thieves in the dark. He was truly a super dog who never slept!
