Sweet Food Without Sugar: The Pharaonic Dining Table

Can you imagine your life without white sugar? The Pharaohs didn't know the sugar we use today, but they still whipped up the most delicious sweets! They loved eating bread so much that they invented more than 30 different shapes and types of it, some even shaped like animals. To make their food sweet, they used yummy bee honey and dried fruits like figs, dates, and sweet grape clusters. During their work breaks, they would sit together in the gardens under the shade of tall palm trees, munching on bread dipped in honey and drinking fresh cow's milk.
