Stone Wonders that Touch the Sky

The Path of Lions and Rams: Luxor Avenue

Imagine a super straight, incredibly long road stretching for miles, guarded on both sides by hundreds of statues of magical, legendary animals! This is the Avenue of Sphinxes that connects Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. The statues have the strong body of a lion and the head of a ram with curly horns, combining bravery, strength, and wisdom. Long ago, priests would march down this road in massive, festive parades, carrying golden boats surrounded by cheers, songs, and magical lights glowing in the night!
