The Pharaohs' Chess: The Game of Senet

Do you like playing Chess or Snakes and Ladders? Kids and adults in ancient Egypt had a super fun game just like them called Senet! It was a rectangular wooden box split into 30 little squares, and they moved small wooden pieces that looked like castles across it. Instead of using dice, they tossed little sticks to find out how many steps to move their pieces. Kings loved this game so much they even packed it in their tombs to play later! It was a game that needed smarts, planning, and quick thinking to beat your opponent.

If you invented a brand-new board game, what would you name it? And what shape would your friends' playing pieces be?
